So I have signed up for a craft show in November. I'm a little nervous about it, but I have a month to prepare. I plan on selling my Aragon bags, some quilts, small zippered pouches and maybe other small items such as matching lanyards. I also plan to have a sign detailing pricing and options for custom quilts and bags to maybe get some commissioned work.

So here are the steps I took to make some easy-peasy DIY craft show cards.

1. Locate a business card template (I used the modern business card template in Pages).
2. Choose cool fonts for your information (I used "fabric" and "always forever" from dafont.com)
3. Print out on pre-punched Avery business card stock.
4. Stamp some fun word on the back of the cards (I used an "enjoy." stamp and black ink).
5. Punch the cards out.
6. Enjoy!

On Monday, I had an awesome craft day with my new friend. We stopped at Wal-Mart to gather supplies, and she found these awesome sets of hanging wood frames. The frames were simple undecorated wood, and my friend suggested that we decoupage the frames with scrapbook paper. I picked up a pack of black, white and grey printed papers, and we were off!

This is the result! It took way longer than I had expected to cut out and mod podge the pieces of paper on the frames, but I love the result. (Hers turned out even cuter than mine, but sadly I didn't take any pictures!) We watched Mulan while we crafted. It was a great time!

I already had a set of six square black and white photos just sitting on a shelf. I recently got rid of the cheapo Target frames the pictures had been in, and was at a loss for what to do with them. This project was perfect for them! I chose three of the six photos - one each of my mother and my sisters. I plan to get another set of the frames and do the whole process again (but different, of course) for the other three photos.

Here is a second bouquet, very similar to the one I made this morning, only much more colorful! I used a stack of multi-colored tissue paper from the dollar store, and brightly colored chenille stems (also known as pipe cleaners) from the same esteemed store. This pretty bunch cost me only pennies, and look how cheerful it all looks!

To fill all the mason jars that I've been making, I made paper flowers. Paper flowers aren't quite as lovely as fresh flowers (and are considerably more work), but they won't wilt and don't need water. And since I constructed a whole bouquet for a few dollars (with the supplies to make many many more leftover), I would say paper flowers are also quite a bit less expensive.

I constructed these lovelies out of tissue paper and chenille stems. The "flowers" are colored around the edges with marker to look a little more realistic (and pretty). I did four pink flowers and two red flowers.  To make the flowers, I followed this tutorial, which was very helpful. 

The fake carnations remind me dyeing carnations with food coloring with my mother back in the day. Good times, good times.
